I Found Something New Today (SPOILERS)
Ok, I just got to Selk's Cry at the end of the game. Did some leveling up and then returned to the main world to do some synthesis and sidequests. When I went back to my base to save and rest...the dialogue for the Hidden Dungeon came up.
Returned to the dungeon and discovered Arlin and Luplus just like in a clear game. But everyone I've talked to, read a FAQ by, seen on an MB, ect. thought that the dungeon needed a clear data save. Has this happened to anyone else?

That's an interesting turn of events. You don't have to have clear data for to get for the end. Nah, I had beat the game before finding the secret cave.

Well my first file I had to wait for the game to be beat. However, this is a newly started file (I'm transcribing the script and going back for stuff I missed the first time). Perhaps it is cuz I did so much Shop Synthesis (at that time I only had Veola and Blaire's recipes left to finish and I'd done a bunch of them already) and a lot of sidequests.

that does happen a lot. I remember spending an entire hour on shop synthesis. Transcribing the script? What does that mean?

I play the game and copy the lines down on paper, then type into my computer. It's sort of an easy reference guide for when I write fanfiction or just to read for enjoyment when I can't get to my PS2/want to read it straight through without having to spend days leveling up and fighting monster.
I also managed to get Norn's test done somehow. So either it's the subquest thing or my game has a good glitch in it (I didn't find the game freezing glitch when I beat it the first time and then after beating it for the special ending so I guess it isn't there)

That sounds like some interesting and sometimes infuriating work.
I didn't get the game freezing glitch either. Instead I got the dialouge freezing and dialouge cut off glitch. You must've got lucky. I'll probaly start over again to see if this stuff is is a glitch or not. Wait you completed Norn's test? How far are you in the game are you?

Now thats a different story. If they told you needed clear data ro do certain things than I would believe a glitch is in play or the fact that things change when you have clear data. Are there any of things that unusual beside Norn's test and Arlin. Also I've started new a new file to test these theories.
