We can both do our best and hopefully by the end of the year there will be an answer (I'll be abscent from the AI field once Disgaea 2 comes out but will still play AI with my mother and friend until they beat it)
EDIT: My friend and I can't access the quest on his file, so it's probably the Bonus Data carrying over. I'm playing again to double check with my Bonus Data. And all my extras do carry over to the next file, I just never checked last time (I have a new file before even reaching Lector and already have everything unlocked)
