well, i doubt that...
some of the monsters you can only find in the land of origin. and if the level of the monster is high, you could take forever turning him into sugary sweets.
what i'm trying to look for though is a monster that turn into amalgam candy, so i can finally finish up blaire's synthesize list. (believe me, it's not THE Amalgam cause he can't turn to candy as said by the monster list.

Flame Virum (? why not just call it "dragon"?) which rarely shows up in Mull's Castle also turns into amalgam candy, probably the only one you can get before the bonus dungeon (I tried repeatedly to zap the Baal you have to fight, but it just wouldn't work)

And just a note, well not beating up the Growloons increases the probability of the stronger monsters appearing and I heard that only certain real strong monsters only appear if you don't beat up them Growloons.

480 Magic on Norn and i still cant turn that damn Baal to candy, even when i get him down to the point where 32 damage from Klein will kill him.... argh!
