Question: Security Strip On AI:EM

I just got my copy of Atelier Iris from Outpost.com, and it was sealed and looks new and all, but it didn't have the usual security strip at the top (the one inside the wrapping that you have to peel off to open the case).

Was there no security strip? Or did I get a previously-opened game?

I ordered mine directly from NISA and there was no security strip, but I can't tell you about copies from stores. I suppose it depends on where Outpost.com got their copies.

Actually, my first encounter with this is when I bought Stella Deus from EB. I asked one of the employees about it, and he said that that's no longer part of Sony's packaging format (I guess you could say). Good riddance IMO. I hated those things anyway - you could damage the front and back cover if you pulled it off wrong.

I've got a big tear on the front cover of my copy of ICO from doing that - I wasn't exactly happy to say the least.

Those OEM Tags are no longer required by the Sony licensing guidelines.

You will only see them on first-party Sony products.
