Attack is all that matters
Hello this is my first post here!
How i have played most NIS games and one thing i found about Makai Kingdom is that your characters can not take more then one hit before getting killed.
Unlike other games like phantom brave where the enemys and your team take turns based on your speed this game gives you the first turn with all your charaters so you get 10 attacks and can move on to the next dungeon level with no trouble.
Now this is not a problem in the main game but post game it really makes the game a question of getting 100 points in a dungeon and moving on.
And the post game boss's? You can forget HP and defense as to win you sould be powerful enough to kill them off in one or two rounds.
In disgaea your charaters could not just run past dungeons while killing a few enemys here and there as your characters could take hits and it gave you more to thing about but in this game it looks like attack is all that matters.

Re: Attack is all that matters
You know I started to have that same problem. I guess the system was experimental but that's no exscuse for a problem like that. After a while you will become afraid of ending turns with enemies in the area.
There's a reason for the 100 points thing. you have to go through 100 floors of a dungeon without stopping. So I guess this keeps things interesting.
You're wrong though attack isn't all that matters. It's attack and HP is what matters. No matter how much defense you have HP is what you really need. Equip a with or magician with the strongest muscle and you'll be suprised at how stuff they could survive with low defense.

Re: Attack is all that matters
Well i found that just killing off 100 points worth of enemys for the EX and then moving on was far too easy as this way you get the EX and the enemy has to chance to attack back.
Aslo the post game boss battles were over in one round most of the time as either you kill them in one or two rounds or you dont kill them at all.
This gos for the overlord battles aswell as there all near each others strength level so if you beat one you can beat them all.
The final post game boss only lasted two round and my guys were only LV1000.
I am have more fun with phanton brave right now as you cant just rush past all the enemys
without hiting a few hits in return.

Re: Attack is all that matters
That's true I just threw Zetta and dropped a building next to all the overlords and took them down in one turn. Let's just NIS makes note of these problems in the future.
