makai seems, for some reason, to be more accessible than (for example) disgaea.. perhaps it's the fact that it's shorter (an artefact of the 'rushed' process..)
while i love this game, i'm a big NIS freak.. my housemate, who doesn't normally get into tactics games, has Zetta at l1000 and is climbing..

Makai Kingdom is one of my favorite NIS games right up there with Disgaea. Granted the story seems more like an after though, but I love the battle system and randomly generated battle field. Unfortunately though I don't think many others liked it as much as I still see a few copies of the game for sale at heavily discounted prices. NEW!!

I ended up buying Makai Kingdom for one reason and one reason only: I liked Pram's eyes :3. I also liked her dress and hair. I did NOT like it when Seedle slashed her during the so called "good" ending >:O. Once I started playing the game I found more reasons besides Pram to enjoy it ^_^. Pram is by far my favorite NIS character :3. Now once I manage to beat Xenosaga and FFX-2 I can go back and try to unlock the other endings  . Albeit if I found out for a surety that there was a way to unlock Pram as a playable character I'd go back to MK right now xD.
