The perfect forces? Show us your characters!
Hello all, I just want to know what kind of soldiers do you use, with what weapons and vehicles.
I use:
Tsuki, Witch lvl 64; Book
Kurogane, Swordsmaster lvl 64; Katana
Tetsu, Male soldier lvl 64; Riffle
Takezo, Male warrior lvl 63; Sword
Araya, Female warrior lvl 58; Dagger
Shobainin, Merchant lvl 54; Nunchaku
Nexus,Male Mage lvl 51, Book
And I also have a lot of lvl 40-50 chars that I usually use, and a lvl 65 tank for my soldier Tetsu.

I started a bit so I'm still building up somewhat. Can't remember the levels too well.
Leader - Yuki, level 25 Occultess, Book
Celes, level 25 Female Warrior, Rapier
Kyo, level 25 Male Warrior, Sword
Miguel, Elite Forces, Rifle/Gattling
Natsume, level 22 1st tier healer whatever that was called, Book
Seo, level 23 Junk Trader, Numchucks
Ciel, Level 20 Professor, Bazooka, rides a RX-66 Helldam at level 16
I am currently replacing Ciel with an Archer who goes by Aeryn. Currently level 16. She's gonna go for rifles. I'm gonna get the third tier for the Archer-type classes and then reincarnate her. So she can join the fighting gang of third tiers.

My current forces (in chapter 7) are:
Hokuto, 32 Witch, Staff (Subaru's sister from Tokyo Babylon, she had a little bit of mystical power)
Ojou, 38 Archer, Gun (Refers to the daughter of a wealthy family; for some reason, there's a connection between them and bows that I've noticed in a few anime)
Motoko, 39 Ronin, Katana (Swordswoman from Love Hina)
Kobayashi, 39 Ronin, Spear (Bushi from Tenshi na Konamaiki)
Repth, 38 Medic, Flamethrower (Healing spell from the .hack games)
Ijyuin, 39 Pickpocket, UFO (Ijyuin Akira, the Man of Twenty Faces)
Iori, 39 Dishwasher, Frying Pan (A confectioner from Mahou Shoujo Neko Taruto)
Chase-ko, 39 Bow Master, Gun - 108 saved stars, points spread between Tec, Def, and Res (Was an axe-using warrior named Chase, after the Warden in the Sword of Truth series; appended -ko, a standard ending for female names in Japanese, when I made it a female character).
Other character names:
Kensuke, Enlistee (War nut from Evangelion)
Mizuho, Professor (Teacher from Onegai Teacher)
Yamada, Engineer (Teacher/mechanic from Onegai Teacher)
Mary, Warrior (Tales of Destiny, PS1 RPG)
I also have a 33 Dark Gear XX that I stopped using once I realized how much more powerful than a vehicle I could make a character via reincarnation.
Hmm, I think I see Tsubasa Chronicle, FF VI, Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Tsukihime in the character names so far... not sure about the others.

You made me think a great idea, why don't we explain why we put those nicknames to our soldiers?
I'll start!
Tsuki: It's Moon in japanese.
Kurogane: From Peacemaker Kurogane, of course.
Tetsu: It's a soldier from Saikano.
Takezo: It was the first name that came to mi mind.
Araya: same...
Shobainin: Merchant in japanese :P
Nexus: same that Takezo and Araya :P
And my cooking man name is Hayate, because I really love this name!!

I've mostly been going with random names for my characters, but I have some custom names that are references.
A female sword master named Setsuna (Negima).
A female infantry named Sami (Advance Wars).
A male infantry named Max (also Advance Wars).
I think that's it for now though. I had a lot more reference names in Disgaea (but there's another topic somewhere on this board about that already).

My main characters are,
(All the names came from the random name generator thing by pressing the select button)
Yoma, Lv 312, Samurai Legend (Male), Sword (Is the leader)
Shirona, Lv 206, Samurai Legend (Female), Katana
Catastrophe, Lv 284, Predator, Morningstar (Is probably the most useful character because of the moving distance and high atk, I highly recommend getting a cat kid monster on your team)
Megas, Lv 139, Medic, Rifle (Used for braveheart)
Yuna, Lv 151, Healer, Syringe (Used for braveheart)
Furina, Lv 152, Red Idol, Magnet (Used for braveheart)
Kutorf, Lv 258, Rune Master (Male), Box
Kyoshiro, Lv 198, Immortal Prince, Book
Those are the 8 that I use the most not counting my Lv 113 Trickster and my Lv 166 Junk Trader used for picking up items and throwing the Sacred Tome. I have about 35 others I'm working on. My main strategy is to go to high level dungeons and never let the enemies have a turn, and it works very well.

I think I'v got all the secret characters except for one or two. I'm going to start using them soon, I'm sure they will be better than normal characters. I recently discovered that I could put them all in academies and they would level up from the bonus exp just from being on the battlefield in academies.

Yes, I put a topic in game assistance saying that because I knew not all the people has seen that.
Do you have the Overlords then? They start from lvl 1 when you get them?
I will start a new cycle when I have all them and play normally but with them ^^

I named my Occultress after the colour scheme. At first she was called Aki since she was all red. Aki means Autumn. After I reincarnated her I just changed it to Yuki since its all blue and cold.
For my healer Natsume, no particular reason. Maybe just in relation to the former. Natsu means summer and the healer had warm colours.
Celes came from Magic Knights Rayearth. Celes was Umi's robot thing. There is also a Ceres in Ayashi No Ceres. But I didn't choose it for any reason, just randomly and because it sounded nice.
There's a Kyo in Fruit's Basket but like the former, no real reason. I guess the starting fighter-type, Apprentice was it? Had orange-ish hair.
Seo I just randomly stole from Tsukihime. She was one of Akiha's friends and like not really important to the whole storyline. Like how my merchant is, not really important in fights.
For my infantry dude, I just spammed select and Miguel popped out. Thought it sounded cool and stuck with it. Theres a Miguel in Gundam SEED. Poor nut dies in episode 2.
