Capturing/Developing Vehicles
Here's yet another topic that the manual fails to elaborate on: how do you acquire vehicles?
I'm on chapter 5 right now, and the only vehicles I've gotten are the Gear Metal LEX, earned after the boss battle in chapter 3, and the WarCry 01, earned after the boss battle in chapter 4.
Are there any other ways to acquire vehicles, other than winning them at the end of a battle?
I talked to one of my characters at the Overlord's castle, and they mentioned something about removing an enemy pilot from their vehicle using a Thief and their UFO, and then jumping into their vehicle yourself. So, is it actually possible to steal an enemy vehicle, and keep it if you're still riding it by the end of the battle?
How's about the Mechanic and Professor characters, and the Factory and Laboratory facilities? Is it possible to actually create/develop produce vehicles?

Re: Capturing/Developing Vehicles
You can only earn vehicles as a bonus at the end of a battle.

That's weak...and here I thought the Factory and Laboratory would actually be good for something.

Re: Capturing/Developing Vehicles
Bonus dungeons are a great way to find vehicles, although they are random like everything else. Also the level of the vehicle is related to the level of the monsters in the stage.
While you're asking about vehicles I'll share something I found the hard way. Characters with low TEC suffer stat penalties when piloting a vehicle. Characters with high TEC add stats. I think that's stated in the game. What isn't mentionned is that the penalties are related to the TEC of the vehicle. If you lower the TEC of the vehicle through an item such as a steering wheel the penalties become less severe for the rider. If you wanted to stick a witch in a tank for example that's how you do it.
