About creating characters

Hi.

There are no items in my kingdom are to create any characters with. How do I get new items on the kingdom to create a new character?

Also, how do you use heal up items during battle? Do you have to equip them to a character? I can't seem to be able to select items during battle(?)

There are no items? Are you in the beginning of the game or furthur?

Let's say you're in the beginning...

So you can't find an item? Not a rock, flower, or anything? How about buying any weapon from the item shop. (a book for INT, a sword for ATK, or a shield for DEF). Either the item you bought will magically appear or you will have to talk to Zetta and tell him to summon an item. Once summoned, walk up to the item and Press X. A screen will pop up. say yes on creating a character.Boom.

If you want some good items,(with stars), than you should start in 1-1. That is if youre at the beginning of the game.
If not, just level up your guys(or guy) enough until your able to make it through 1-1.
After that, re-enter the stage, don't kill everyone(or you'll end the stage), toss your weapon, walk up to a rock or flower, press lift, end turn, wait for an enemy to walk up to you, and kill him with your weapon.
Once the battle is over you'll recieve your bonus items, and another screen will come up saying (I think) "Captured items". In that screen you should be able to see the item you caught.
Repeat if neccessary.

2) To heal up? I don't think you can with an item. You have to create a healer.

The way I've used items is to put them in a building, summon the building, put a character close to the building, select the building, and then select an item and use it on a character.

You can also have someone carry one as a weapon

Okay, found the problem, I have to summon an item. I didn't know you could summon items, i thought only characters (didn't think to press left or right at the summon list). Thanks for the help.

Yes, it is possible to heal with an item (ie. Carrot, Tea Cake). Healing with an item is one of the ways in which to recover SP during the middle of a battle, which is very handy when going Dungeon exploring...
