Scarf, tie, same thing! Ties are just excuses for businessmen to wear scarfs with coffee mugs or something emblazoned all over them.
I guess Zetta's cape could just count as a really big, reverse scarf, too. See? My main character/scarf theory always works!
I'm not sure where Prier fits into all this. She has a ribbon on her costume, but it's not on her neck.

Re: Adell flaming?
Maybe bows are the female version of the scarf rule then.

Re: Adell flaming?
I don't really think that could be a scarf. It's a tie for sure.
It does address Adell's girl issue and he does act like a child. Wanting shootouts is a dead give away on that one because he's a child mentally he believes girls are evil.

Re: Adell flaming?
Adell's dislike of women is an explained trauma. Almost anyone who's beaten the game should know that. :x I've been reading some stuff regarding Adell-hate on GameFAQs, and there was this e-argument. I think it's kind of mocking the general cookie-cutter stereotype of main characters...
Oh, it's a tie. The only thing common within the main characters of the _main-stream_ NISA games are the red.
Adell's red tie, Laharl and Ash's red scarf, and Zetta's flamin' red hair. x;

Re: Adell flaming?
Well, according to the 'main character' charter majig, something that I came up with, most characters that supposedly have over-sized objects are main characters (ec. Laharl's scarf and Pram's dress-skirt). But there are exceptions to the rule, such as Flonne, for instance.

Re: Adell flaming?
Having an exaggerated clothing item is standard for hero's, but I hope NIS fights the urge to give the main some kind of catch phrase again.
"For her sake, I will not fail."
"That's just my style."
Ash's just doesn't make sense out of context and Adell's is whipped out too often.
As for the speculation about Adell's inclinations, about certain subjects the man's just immature. Also, there's the grand anime cliche that the two lovers gotta hate each other and use that hatred to veil the fact they want to have wild pig sex Don't get mad at me, I hate that rule.

Re: Adell flaming?
Truth be told I hate it too. This is something that has gone on too long. I don't see what's wrong with lover characters actually getting along from the or already being in love from the beginning. Will it be that boring to have charcters actually in love early in the game.
It's more of a poem type context than a something you would say in an English paper.
