My personal opinion as to why Nippon Ichi chose to release Disgaea 3 on PS3 than the 360 is because Microsoft has a hard time capturing the demographic of hardcore RPG gamers. With the exception of a few titles such as Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, the 360 has considerably less appeal in Japan than the PS3.
Sony has a longtime history with the RPG genre, especially tactical SRPGs (as evident to the massive selection of tactics titles on the PSP), so it makes sense for N1 to go with the PS3.
Don't get me wrong though, if NISA somehow pulled a fast one and released Disgaea 3 on the 360, i'd snatch it up in a heartbeat instead of having to buy the ridiculously priced PS3 when D3 is finally released.
