It's way better for the portable than for the home system.

No, I wouldn't.
For one, I don't own a PSP and have no intentions of getting one. I do have a DS though.
Secondly, I honestly don't care how much better the mechanics were in 2, it doesn't make up for the absolute lack of plot and characters. The characters and story for Disgaea 2 were wretched. I managed to beat it once just to say I had and put it down. I was literally dreading having to stomach more of it's dreadful "story" the more I played it.
So honestly, I would never buy it on the PSP, and its highly unlikely I would buy it on the DS either.

If I could transfer my save from the PS2 game then I would probably buy it since then it wouldn´t feel as if my 200+ hours of gameplay were wasted...
Otherwise? Not a chance. It´s a good game, addicting to say the least, but get it again and start over from lvl 1 and have to replay everything, find every item and everything again? NO!!

I would buy it, but I'm not going to ask them to make it. I'd rather they work on ports of older games, especially games that haven't been released in the US previously, and completely new games.
The PSP and DS are pretty much the only platforms I get a chance to play any more, because I have to get time with the TV to play the PS2, so it's much easier for me to put 100+ hours into Disgaea: AoD than it is even Disgaea 2 on the PS2, which has been sitting on my shelf pretty much since it was released.

I actually passed on Disgaea: AoD for the PSP because i'm waiting for Disgaea 2 for the PSP. I love the series but for a portable game, killing being the only way to get EXP is a horrible idea. Fine for a console at home, but on the go, i don't want to have to grind my healers early on. Can't wait for Disgaea 2 on the PSP, i'm almost positive it's coming sometime next year.

nope i wouldn't i did 500+ hours of stuff on the one for the ps2 upgrading a army of 40+ people do you think i wanna do that again hehe.
