It doesn't. I got my last few pirates (including Red) in a legendary Rapier. The base level was 2 so Z pirates came in on level 61 at... 1088 or something I think. All that matters is what floor you're on and how many maps you have. It's all luck otherwise.

I need a couple of maps, but I'm taking a break on Disgaea 2 and playing Makai Senki Disgaea Portable instead.

I managed to oust several 9999 Z Pirates, because they didn't go Tera Star on mah butt. D:

Not to note that you can get Rank 40 weapons!

Much shiny.

But to effectively level on LoC!Co4, the ATK should be over 300k and hit should be over 90k?

Don't worry about me, that wasn't a problem for me. It wasn't until D2 that I finally broke the level 2,000 barrier. And in a matter of minutes I was all the way up to over level 8,000. Between that and Rozalin's boost I was able to kill Baal in three hits.

I don't know which I want to do more: get to level 9,999 or pump up Makai Wars emoticon

My first (and only) perfect is a rarity 0 Yo****suna... 300k+ base attack on a weapon is so beautiful, especially in the hands of someone with a lot of Sword Mastery. Took down everything up to Uber Prinny Baal with that, then got annoyed at trying to get Baal Pirates and UPB pirates (the only things I hadn't beaten) and decided I was done with the game at that point.

There will be a time when those 9999!Nekos you snatched from 4-3 become utterly useless! 8D
