I finally have a decent setup now to level up my characters. My problem so far has been that I have way too many characters. A friend of mine has 8 main characters, and they're all around level 1500. I have maybe 35 characters, most around level 150, with some in the low 300s.
Just last night I finally got a lvl 100+ Professional, so I threw it on my best weapon along with my 600 armsmaster (all I have so far), a 1000+ gladiator, and a whatever lovers I have (for the character I'm using), then go through Cave of Ordeals 4 several times.
I reincarnated my kunoichi from lvl 250 into a Master Kunoichi or whatever the rank 6 one is, and got her back to lvl 200 in about 20 minutes or so. I just had her doing Winged Slayer on the marionettes.
I also got a few other characters to high 200's, low 300's in about an hour just moving my specialists around.

It shouldn't matter how many characters you have. I tend to make 6 heavy knights for throwing purposes, that knocks my character lim to the high 20s to mid 30s. Almost 1/2 of my list is populated by Nekos. So yeah. :x

I just meant that I have 30+ characters that I try to use consistently. I also have a ton of armor knights and nekos/succubi but I dont really use the nekos or succubi unless I find an item I cant steal with my thieves.

my charater is at low lvl, so how do i lvl up at this early chapter

You're actually supposed to lose that battle with Etna to progress with the story. However, it is a good opportunity to steal some valuable equipment. Even if it is a long shot, you can snag at least 1 item before you get wasted if you have a thief.

I got the most levels in the shortest time by having the "stronger enemies" bill maxed...
and goin thru harder item worlds.. but ive got some good equipment and ive reincarnated to the point that i have like 70+ points to spend..
i got a level 800 dreadnaught to level 1800 or so in about 20 minutes... the enemies were close to maxed (9999) tho.. so if you pass the stronger enemy bill a few times at a time... and do item worlds, you can get levels at quite an ideal rate.. (at least.. for me)

I just max out on felonies and hit the caves of ordeals, but if in a rush I go to the item world and kill at least one enemy on every floor.
