So... how is this?

I just bought a PSP yesterday, so I'm looking for a few games to buy. I have a list of what to buy, but I've only picked up Valkyrie Profile, so far.

So, I was thinking of picking this up eventually. I'd like to hear the opinions of the people here who have played it, taking into account that load times don't bother me at all. Thanks.

Does this game have a save-anywhere option?

I'll buy it sometime this week if it does.

No, you can only save on the world map or in between battles.
However, the PSP can retain data when you turn off the system and will remember where you were when you turn the system back on.

Well, that sucks. I guess I'm waiting this one out.

That doesn't count. I honestly use my PSP as an mp3 player more than I do as a gaming console, and since I can't listen to music while the system is in sleep mode, it kind of defeats the purpose of carrying the system around everywhere.

Aye, I've had to choose between holding data and having something to listen to a few times. Beyond that I am enjoying most of the game.

I really like this game.

But... it made me do naughty things to my PSP. The game on UMD is utterly unplayable in my opinion due to ridiculous load times mid-battles, but you get a taster of just how awesome it is... so I mod'd my PSP, and now its playable emoticon.
