The music of Ar Tonelico

One of the things that I love most about Ar Tonelico is the music. Esspecially the hymes. I listen to them often. It's just my kind of music. But there's just one problem. Why isn't "Chronicle Key" available to listen to in the hyme concert. I'm playing the whole game again to try and find out. Unless someone here already knows how to get it. Cause it's a great song.

Ar-Tonelico's music is divided among 3 albums.

Ar-Tonelico Original Soundtrack: http://www.vgmworld.com/catalog/index.php?table=cocoebiz_music&item_num=529

Ar-Tonelico Concert Side Blue, Kurenai ~ Playing the Moon: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=HUCD-10013

Ar-Tonelico Concert Side Crimson, Ai ~ Reading the Stars: http://www.vgmworld.com/catalog/index.php?table=cocoebiz_music&item_num=530

"Chronicle Key" is on the blue album.

Sourced from VGM World and CD Japan. What can I say, import music's expense. BUT SO WORTH IT.

And, of course, I have all 3, and I'm enjoying all the great get-out of them.

Thanks man. I figured that's what I would have to do. One question. I'm keeping my finished game data along with my new game data. When I finish the game again with Misha, will her songs stack along with the songs I got from finishing the game with Aurica?

I'm hoping the music of Ar Tonelico 2 is on par with the first one.

Well, even if Ar-Tonelico 2 doesn't get released in the 'States (God forbid), you'll still be able to import the soundtrack.

Gust has maintained a pretty consistent quality in the music for its games, and they're probably going to keep the same composers too, so I don't see any reason to be skeptical about that, at least.

I know I'm gonna grab the soundtrack as soon as it comes out, probably sometime this Summer.

The music is what defines Ar Tonelico. If someone said "I want to play a game with good music". I would say "Play Ar Tonelico". Even if the game was terrible I would still love it because of the music. What are some of your favorite hymes. I like "Chronicle Key".

Seeing as how music is a major theme of the game, they have to make the music good.

My favorite Ar-Tonelico Hymnos include:

"Expressive Hill" (the intro hymn before the title screen)

"Voice of Life" (the hymn that plays during the opening sequence)

"Rig=Veda" (it's on the red Hymnos album)

"Chronicle Key" (definitely like how this one sounds so pastoral)

"Suspend" (this one, is hard for me to describe; it's like you're just floating in the air, or on the water...as if you're "suspended.")

"Misya Extracting" (Misha's battle Hymn vs. the Virus; definitely like the almost savage, tribal overtones of it)

"Orica Extracting" (Orica's battle Hymn vs. the Virus; not as aggressive as Misha's but still awexome)

"Re=Nation" (it's also on the red Hymnos album; like the music box effects, and it'd be a really good closing song.)

These are just a few that I always feel like I have to listen to when I play the Hymnos albums.

I live in relatively rural area, so during the Summer time, I'm driving along, I roll down the windows, I blast the speakers, and the music sounds like it fills the world, like I'm hearing it coming to me from the distance.
