I really hope that someone from the staff reads this, though kinda irrelevant if there isn´t many people saying the same.

I (and a lot of other people, obviously) know that Ar Tonelico 2 takes off almost 100% space off a DVD, so... i think NIS is possibly opting for a english-only voice game.

That´s a BIG NO-NO, one of the best features of NIS releases of GUST games has always been giving us the dual language feature. So really, either consider ditching the english voices (which would be the best option in my opinion) OR release the game on a Dual Layer DVD.

Don´t try to fix what´s not broken, me (and a lot of other people) don´t care at all for the (compared to the original japanese voices) crappy dubs.

Why is everybody panicing over this? They haven't skimped on dual audio yet, so why now? They'll find a way to get it done.

Besides, some of us prefer those 'crappy dubs'.

On a sidenote, i forgot to meantion, ditching the Dolby Prologic Sound mode would also be a good idea, and it would surely grant space for the english voices. After all Dolby Prologic is Dolby Prologic, it takes care about decoding the 2.1 sound.

No comments bout who would prefer the dubs, everytime i see a Mana Khemia video with english voices on youtube, i feel like vomiting and close the video right away. Any proper anime fan knows that the original way things are meant to be like are done that way in Japan, sorry if this hurts anyone´s feelings but it´s true. And i wouldn´t play Atelier Iris 1 and start LOVING the saga if it wasn´t for the japanese voices on AI1, and then every other of them. Games should be played that they´re originally meant to be played, or at least, that should be an available option.

Before this turns into the umpteenth dub language flame war on this board, I'm gonna lay out some things:

-They'll do dual audio if they can.
-If they can't, they'll do English only.
-Don't complain until they make a decision, it only makes you look stupid. Be patient and see what they do first.

And for one last one that's sure to tick off a few people, but unrelated to the situation as a whole:

-Most Japanese dubs are not "good acting" but "overacting." Most non-Japanese people can't tell the difference. Most Japanese people don't care. What you may consider as having more feeling is often just going overboard, but inabilities to pick up language subtleties in a non-native language hinder judgment. Many Japanese acting styles (including some voice acting) have roots in Kabuki theater, where overacting (often behind masks or other objects worn that hindered movement and speech) was often necessary. It's only recently that some Japanese actors have begun adopting the more subtle, realistic, accepted, and praised western styles of acting. So it's not so much fixing what isn't broken, but potentially breaking what's already broken.

Kindly take your blind fanboy/girlism of Japanese dubs somewhere else. If you like them, that's fine, but don't start talking trash about the English dubs that NISA works hard to bring us and that, as thundercloud82 said, some of us prefer. You won't make any friends here by doing so. Remember, this isn't just a translation company, it's a localization company. And more often than not, that means re-dubbing, whether or not the original language track is available.

Also, I probably just did a good job of starting said umpteenth flame war. Whoops =P

I sure can. That's why I don't care for the Japanese dubs, not that either dub is ever perfect. At any rate, I'm not about to get into a verbal war over something that is a matter of opinion.

I'm cool with opinion, and opposed to flame wars over it, but it really bothers me when people come to the NISA board spouting nonsense about how English dubs are INHERENTLY inferior to the original Japanese. It's a nasty pet peeve of mine that I have an inability to let slide.

EDIT: gramer gud

I just said what i had to say, i have no time for 'flame wars', so interpret that intention if you want to, what i said i already said it, and it´s the truth, sorry again if you think the same as on my earlier posts. Well, as long as the game comes out with japanese voices, it´s all good, otherwise it will get really screwed, but for now i won´t think that as a possibility, like a user said earlier, that didn´t happen yet. I´m not gonna answer again about this issue, cause it´s pointless.

This is why I already don't like you. You're treating your opinion like absolute fact. It's insulting to the rest of us, as well as annoying.

I'm losing count of how many times I've made that happen. Anyone keeping up? XD
