Cast my vote for the dual language. That way those of us who prefer Japanese can listen to that while those who prefer English can listen to English.

This is indeed excellent news and I'm very pleased to see Eternal Mana making its way to the states.

I'll cast yet another vote for the inclusion of a dual language option as long as you have the available resources. It is always nice to give people an option.

And as a reminder to NIS America: I'm betting that this is going to be released next year, so try to avoid releasing Eternal Mana around any big rpgs (Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest VIII, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Xenosaga Episode II). It would be ashame to see Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ over shadowed by other big name games.

As much as I would like to have the Dual language I just plain happy they brought the game over so as long as the translations are good I fine.

i find it funny how tankful you guys are to sony when there shouldnt even be a problem localizing it in the first place. i can almost guarentee none of you have ever been to E3 and been to meetings or talked privatly with game devolpment staff and the people who work hard to localize games. SCEA is notorious among the game devolpment community for being incredibly stuck up and having unfair rules for game localization. ask WD or SNK or even ATLUS. the credit goes to NI and you the fans. nobody should thank sony for all the crap theyve done to struggling small third parties just trying to bring there games out here. SCEA today is the ghost of nintendos past come back to haunt small third parties. i for one am exstatic and almost shocked that this game has been approved and i only hope that this is a sign that SCEA is slowing letting go of its ridiculous "graphic standard" for ps2 games.

Who cares. PS2 is Sony's property, so it's their call if something can be done on it or not. Their system, their rules.
And as such, if they let a game from Japan that has never seen a release in USA or Europe be taken there, props to them.
It's not like Nintendo or Microsoft let every single game come out on their console in every country.

thats really sad and you should care. perhaps you havent seen the many games that have not come out here due to sonys policy. Tales of destiny II, Tales of Rebirth, Venus and Braves. this list goes on and on. a company should never restrict a game from being localized simply because they do not like the graphics. it may be there system and such but who made them popular? who made them the big bad king of the consoles? the consumer so why should sony ever prevent a perfectly fine and finished game from being published simply because it uses beautiful 2-D sprites? there is no thanking or props to them all the thanks needs to go to NIS and everyone who voiced their want for this game. and like i said before there should never have been a problem with localizing it.

I completely agree with you, Simmaria. Just because the graphics aren't the most state of the art type around, that shouldn't stop a good game from getting released here.

Besides, a well done 2D sprite looks better than a well done 3D model, IMO. Even the best looking 3D models end up looking trashy at certain angles (which the camera tends to use during cutscenes, for some reason) with things like puffy cheeks or flawed transparency. I'd rather see some beautiful sprites any day, so that policy annoys me to no end.

Still, at least something good is coming out here, so we should be happy, and save all the Sony annoyance for when they make their next dumb opinion on what gamers want.
