I am glad to see Sony approved it. I will definately be buying it. I am hoping for dual language if possible, if not, please keep the original Japanese voices. I agree that NIS and the fans are the one's to thank the most. I do thank Sony for listening to the fans though and encourage they do so more often. I like 2d graphics better than 3d and Sony needs to let NIS, SNK, and other companies bring their excellent 2d games to the US. They shouldn't have standards regarding graphics, but regarding content. If a distasteful game like Grand Theft Auto is okay to release, they have no reason to refuse games like SVC Chaos: SNK vs Capcom or any of the other games they turned down. I hope their approval of Atelier Iris is a sign that from now on Sony will approve more 2d games. I think it would remove a lot of the stigma that has been placed on them.

Wonderful news. I must say I am very pleased that SCEA approved Atelier Iris, and fairly quickly since NIS announced it. I would add that it seemed simple enough with being more on par with Guilty Gear Isuka that say Growlanser Generations graphically, but still you can't take these things for granted with SCEA. I will certainly be preordering this one.

As far as the dual language thing, I would say do it if space allows, but english all the way if there is only space for one.

Also I would plead for a COLOR booklet. PB is lacking one and it hurts the package a little for it. Not the game, just the package. A bonus soundtrack is very cool and all, but if I had to choose between the two, color booklet wins. Also I'm not a fan of the "pocket manga" style of the PB strategy guide by Double Jump. I look at it as bigger size = easier to read & bigger art. None of this effects the playing of the game of course, but hey WD set the bar high for niche game presentation, and I want everyone to try and reach it.

Lastly, I would love to see stuff like lithos, posters, & mainly Japanese style artbooks start coming to the US from the game publishers. Something like what Namco and Brady have done, except JP artbook quality and if that means we have to buy them instead of getting them free as a preorder bonus, so be it (I've seen a couple absolutely awesome JP Gust/Atelier art books, but have not been able to aquire them).

anyway, once again Bravo, NIS America

Awesome! I'll definatly be picking this up! Please, dual language release like its been with most of your games recently! Its hard to imagine playing these w/o the Japanese track. And OSTs are always a welcome preorder bonus. ^__^ Can't get enough of them.

Me, being a very big Anime/Manga lover, I very much favour the nice 2D sprites that NISA Game support versus the 3D ones, that you see almost eveywhere else. Sure, they are nice and have cool FMVs, but after eveygame starts to have the same thing, you really appreciate the one or two anime style 2D games. Also, I know very little (or a better word, nothing) about this game, but just at looking at some of the art, I know I'm gonna love it. Thanks for you great taste in games NISA!

Let me also chime in and say "Yay!" Thank you very much, NIS. This game looks awesome, and I can't wait. ^_^

I'm also a big fan of 2D sprites. =)

thats really sad and you should care. perhaps you havent seen the many games that have not come out here due to sonys policy. Tales of destiny II, Tales of Rebirth, Venus and Braves.

It is obvious that 2D games simply just don't sell as well as gorgeous 3D games. I love my sprites and 2D graphics, but I also don't want to see companies having to close their US branches due to poor sales.

Tales of Rebirth isn't even out in Japan yet, I didn't know Namco was so eager to get localize their Tales games.

I saw a movie that showed the opening battle(?) and sequence, and I say that I'm impressed. The battle system seems to work in a cross between traditional turn-based and Valkyrie Profile-style fighting. I can't wait!

As a suggestion, the japanese special edition came with (as far as I know) a soundtrack with booklet, and a manga. The manga's art looked fantastic, and it would be awesome if that could be translated and put in with pre-orders, too.

Either way I'll definitely be pre-ordering this ^^ Can't wait to hear when it's gonna come out.

I second that. I'd love a manga to add to my collection.
