It's really cool that they're bringing back a lot of the jobs from Disgaea. They gave them a makeover. The Mage doesn't look like a maid anymore (not like I had a problem with that).

Things look like a cross between Disgaea and Phantom Brave. When you create a character, it looks like they use the same method as in Disgaea, you can get upgraded jobs, and maybe even transmigrate again. Like Phantom Brave, they're still using the non-grid battlefield.

Have you seen the mechs, drill tanks, and motorcycles for this game? I'd love to see how that works out.

Definetly Atelier Iris, Phantom Kingdom doesn't come out until March in _Japan_... it usually takes seven to eight months for them to localize and bring it to the US, so...

(I weep inside. If the game wasn't so riddled with Kanji - I only know 100... I'd totally get it.)

I recently received my Gamepro magazine in the mail. And in the Rpg section they had a small section about Phantom Kingdom. They predict that it'll come out in the year 2005(very specific) and that
" The sooner the better" if it makes a State side release.

yea I definately cant wait for Phantom Kingdom. It sounds and looks awesome! And its also sounds like its gonna be hilarious. I mean the concept of the ruler destroying his own kingdom and then rebuilding it while getting picked on by gods sounds great..woo!

Has... anyone seen the new 1up.com post?

http://1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3138151

Today, NIS America formally announced the U.S. release of Makai Kingdom, a PlayStation 2 strategy RPG, for July 2005. Last year, the publisher released Phantom Brave to widespread popularity among genre fans. Makai Kingdom, however, bears more of a resemblance to the company's earlier effort, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, which was released in the U.S. by Atlus in 2003. Its story focuses on a deposed dark lord regaining his nefarious powers and unearthly kingdom. Sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it?

July.

...Seriously, July.
Can someone confirm this? I mean, it just came out last night (the article) but ... wuh.
