Re: Yay!!
That is what I thought as well. But you haven't considered that fairies are so weak that they die before getting a single attack off on the dragon most of the time. I actually tried massing 30 fairies to test that (in the first cycle, before any upgrades).
It was a sad sight
Even with fully upgraded fairies, it will take master micromanagement, and will still involve heavy losses to complete that challenge.

Re: Yay!!
Defeating dragons with fairies "would" seem possible, except the problem is dragons can attack all around themselves. They don't even need to be looking at them(we don't need logic >.>).
If someone is capable of doing that, well I wish them godspeed then, because I doubt even I could do that.

Re: Yay!!
Let's consider the following:
The Dragon's attack power against astrals is 2x6, so if all 6 hits hit an Astral Fairy, they would incur 12 points of damage. With Wicca and Titania leveled to 5 and 3, respectively, a Fairy would have 45 HP and an attack boost which increases attack power by 1 and defense power by one. As such, they'd be receiving only 1 damage with a dragon's fire breath, incurring only 6 points of damage each time it attacks. With a team of 30 Fairies, they'll be dishing out 150 damage with each attack, enough to kill the dragon with just 4 blows.
However, since most people would only create 8 Fairies (and probably a few more for backup), it amounts to 40 damage with each attack wave from the Fairies, making it possible to kill the dragon eventually. In fact, the only problem you'd face would be Astral Change running out.
This is all theoretical, of course, so it might not work as great as it seems.
