Soul Nomad Glitching?
Ok, so I emailed NIS but I thought I would try here anyways. Here's the problem, I'm at 1-6 in the game, a basics intro level filled with a few carpenters, some other stuff, what have you. All the enemies are at or around level 2. For some reason, one of these enemies, will randomly spawn MAX stats. 99,999 to ATK DEF HIT INT SPD and RES. I assumed this was just a one time glitch, ended the battle, loaded up the game resumed the battle once again. After checking all the enemies at the start of the battle I confiremd that all the level 2's were indeed level 2's. Once the battle began however, once again one enemy randomly grew to have max stats while remaining at level 2 and took the liberty of exercising his 2,238,200 potential damage all over my characters. Anyone explain? Is my copy defective? Is this a common glitch here?

Re: Soul Nomad Glitching?
What an odd glitch. Try investigating one of your rooms (single level should be fine) and see if it resets the battle 1-6 stats to more reasonable numbers.
Is the steroid user a unit leader? Could you just kill the leader of the unit it is in suppress the threat? If so, then pull the main character out of the overpowered troop's attack range (front row, front 2 or whatever it happens to be).
And here I thought I had it bad with high speed, high level room tyrants with antimatter decor.

Re: Soul Nomad Glitching?
Techinically he is a room leader, being the only unit in the group. But he is impossible to kil, with max stats, he looked something like this.
Weis ATK 99999
Level 2 DEF 99999
HP 78 HIT 99999
STM 102 INT 99999
ACT 12 RES 99999
It dosn't matter, you can't deal damage to a character like that, its all evaded and if you score a hit(which you won't) its reduced to zero. I tried the map 1-6 five times, four of which resuled in the glitch, the fifth time, by chance, none of the units glitched and I was able to move on with the game. Pretty Awsome.

Huh. That is odd. Out of curiosity, do you get a regular Game Over when Superenemy smashes you? I only ask because I remember one of the intro speeches mentioning you might run into ridiculously high-level enemies, and to try losing to them to see what happens. I think it's right before the line about defeat sometimes being victory, and vice-versa.

I found out that if you can position yourself right, as long as he doesn't use Fade-Out the glitch doesn't occur. At least thats how it worked for me.
