A few things that would be awesome.

-Max/Min Stronger/Weaker Enemy Bills. Having to turn these up and down all the time, one at a time, is intensely boring. These should appear after you've been up and down the chain a few times.

-A way to rename items (other than the item assembly in item world). Since you can only access the item assembly three times, and once you've done that, the name is set forever.

-The music shop in the HQ only lets you listen to music you've already bought. The music shop in D1 let you buy the stuff outright. That would be ideal. The music can be even more expensive if you want; it's not like anybody does anything with their HL during endgame. emoticon

Yes to the first two definitely. Only reason I didn't say all of them is because I just don't care too much about the music shop XD The min/max bills thing is something that honestly should have already happened after 3 games in the series.

I wonder are they going to make a Disgaea 4?

I guess it depends entirely on how much N1 likes money.

I'd venture a guess to say they like it enough to cash in on Disgaea until it just doesn't sell anymore.

Really. As a long term Final Fantasy fan (I didn't just jump the bandwagon at FFVII) I'm really disappointed with the path they're taking now and the quality of the games.
Did you play FFXII? It was ...ugh. It was less like previous iterations where I feel immersed in a beautiful symphony of storytelling, personality, and gameplay and more like grinding for hours on end in any MMORPG out there. If there was a story in FFXII, it was horribly presented.
Then there's those other games, mostly FFVII fanservice. Square Enix is no Squaresoft. In their attempt to modernize the franchise (ex. really action-y gameplay) all the magic of FF is lost. It doesn't help that Hironobu Sakaguchi isn't leading the company anymore, either. Of course, I'll check out the upcoming gmaes, but I'm not reading to burst with excitement like back in the day.

Wait...what was my point? Oh, with Disgaea I hope NIS won't forget what makes a Disgaea game what it is and try to "innovate" and "appeal to a wider audience". I mean, I rather they go with the Koei strategy where I get to play the same game I know and love, but enhanced, than Square's method where I find myself constantly missing the wonderful days of the older games. So yeah, a lot of franchises can go on a long time, but let's hope Disgaea can keep up the standard.

I have to agree xD (I love the "koei strategy") Final Fantasy games have gotten really crappy over the years, and I didn't hop the FF7 bandwagon either.. I started on 9 and went backwards o_O. I think NIS is a decent company who knows their strengths, and thats why they've managed to make 3 disgaeas so far without much significant change. All the changes they've made have made the game better, and honestly, if they put another one out with nothing more than a new story, I'm not sure I would complain. I think they've done a fine job taking my life away from the outdoors XD and I bet they'll keep doing it and doing it well :3

But the music shop idea is fantastic. And those bills.. I haven't touched them (and usually don't) but I know where that would be an awesome thing.

I was also thinking downloadable music from past Disgaea games would be cool, like tracks that arent in d3 :>

I like the duality of having the Disgaea series that evolves a little bit with each iteration and has a lot of familiar elements to it (even in the story), and then having the other games (Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom, Soul Nomad) that are often dramatic departures in the systems used and the story is somewhat set in the same universe, but is mostly unrelated to Disgaea.

In this way we get to see them try new things, and they can do so without people complaining that they're destroying the main series, and we can have the Disgaea games that most of us love.

Of course, with the ports of Disgaea, Phantom Brave, and Disgaea 2, I'm really starting to feel the itch for another new game outside of the main series, or maybe a PSP port of Makai Kingdom or Soul Nomad.

I have a feeling La Pucelle is going to be ported before Makai Kingdom(which is basically guaranteed to be ported), and I don't think Soul Nomad is ever going to get port.

They are going to try to bring Marl Kingdom games back and I think they will be for the DS.
