but if you download the patch you can't play your saved games.... least that is what i thought it said. which sucks btw i would rather be able to keep playing where i am and get trophies

That's how I take it as well. I really don't mind starting over to get the trophies as long as I can still play with my old save file that I put hundreds of hours into.

Re: Trophy Patch

Once again, the Japanese version allowed players to not only use their old save, but earn trophies with it, no restarting necessary.

If our version's patch is any different, someone (likely several people) at NISA will need to be fired for gross incompetence.

For the record, their patch came with a warning that their old saves wouldn't work either, so I'm still hopeful.

Re: Trophy Patch

We'll find out later today, anyway. Either way, I'll be fine, but let us all stay optimistic, ya?

EDIT: The patch is live as of right now. It's a fairly large one at about 435 MB so prepare to wait and eat some sandwiches or something while you're sitting there (or do something more constructive). I'm downloading it right now, ready to face the truth.

Re: Trophy Patch

Now we can debate whether NISA was trolling or just being stupid.

Oh wait, those are the same.

This is good news, but NISA still needs to learn to get its facts straight. We might not be so lucky the next time.

I think it was just the issue of poorly constructed sentences as I attempted to point out in a previous post in this thread. Maybe I'm being optimistic.

Re: Trophy Patch

Could have been anything. No harm done, though, so I couldn't possibly care any less about what they thought before, just as long as it works now.

Re: Trophy Patch

It might be pointless to post this now, but you can get trophies in your old save data. I tried last night and it worked for me. *shrug*
