Yeah, the L/R are interchangable in Hirigana/Katakana because the sound in Japanese is something between the two.

No not a Disgaea 3. I can't belive they want to make another Disgaea. This is where all the crap starts. You one good franchise and milk it till it's dead. Eventually NIS will become like the next Square Enix if this keeps up.

On the other hand: Don't fix it if it ain't broke. As long as there are enough small changes in the series to keep everything interesting, I'll continue buying sequels.

Re: Disgaea 3

You know what my one problem with the first Disgaea was? It ran out of plot. I could go a while into the bonus stuff up to killing Prinny Baal, but I wished there was more story to keep me going. Even if the plot of Disgaea 2 wasn't up to snuff, it gave me an excuse to delve into the depths of Item World again.

I would only ask for a few changes in 3: 1. A darker lead with ambitions beyond beating some guy. 2. When secret characters are recruited, you can access new stages that ties in the recruiting of the character into the story more. 3. A special Baal ending, there needs to be a kick ass ending for beating Baal in his final form whatever it may be. He's the baddest demon in the universe, there needs to be a little more fanfare than a brief cutscene and title change.

yea.. i would never consider getting a PS3 just to play a 50 dollar game either, considering the PS3 is gonna suck. the Blu-Ray format was a fatal mistake by sony... Keep it on PS2. NIS America doesnt need to move into the next generation... because its F**ked up.

PS3: $600 USD
Blu-Ray Player: $750-1500 USD

Sony can move PS3s on the Blu-Ray feature alone. That's not something I would call a "fatal mistake."

Considering the PS3 is just an extremely economical glorified gaming PC... I wouldn't exactly call PS3 using Blu-Ray a "fatal mistake" either... And I'm not kidding when I say PS3 is economical, compare it to gaming PCs from companies like Alienware which charge for like $1000+. 8)

What is wrong with people saying PS3 is going to suck without any ACTUAL, VALID reasoning for it?

I thought I was the only one who thought Disgaea's plot was a bit iffy. I do like these ideas, too. SO hey! Dear NIS, all I care about is a decent Phantom Brave cameo. Stop hating.

I honestly never heard of Blu-Ray until I had to memorize the details of the PS3 for work. (Video Game store person thinger here.) I'm not completely thrilled with its functions because I uh, don't own fancy televisions. Don't really care to, either. And yes, I did own a PS3 D: It's in a better place, now.

Yeah, the only Phantom Brave cameo, ever, was in Makai Kingdom. And in that one, Castile became playable, and damn, is she good with a gun.

And now looking back on it, I suppose the localized Disgaea made it more like a game to make fun of cliches than actually have a really deep plot. If I wanted plot-smitten games I'd play games like FFT instead, but the gameplay is just so hellishly addictive it ain't funny.

PS3 is insanely cheap compared to other Blu-Ray players. That's all.

I'll admit that Disgaea's plot isn't Masterpiece Theatre, but FF isn't all that either. They're starting to recycle plot points more and more.
