This is AWESOME! Been waiting for it, I will buy it for sure!!!
Please NIS, test the game before releasing it. I don't want to feel the wrath of the fan on this phenomenal game!

Re: Sakura Wars
Why would they list a next-gen console as a typo? Come on now. It's being ported to a modern console for people who might not have a PS2 (or might not want to use/stress theirs any longer), or for people who might want to use a Wiimote to control the game (come on, mouselike control).
Anyway, MEGATON etc, glad to see this happening.

Re: Sakura Wars
Wow, this is a surprise(It's more along the lines of something ATLUS would do, but I would've never expected it from NIS). This is among one of the franchises that I couldn't find a tranlated patch for, so I'm very much looking forward to it.
I have one worry though, in the 1up blog, it says it changed stuff to appeal more to westeners(one of which is, supposedly changing the lead char into a cowgirl). when will the Japanes realize, the last thimg people want to see in their RPGs, and tactics games in the US, is anything from the US. Come on, you think they would've got the hint by now, with most moddled i in a midevil era setting, and despite what the Japanese seem to think, games with a Chinese or Japanese setting, are big hits here.
With that being said, I hope they don't screw the game(s) up.

Re: Sakura Wars
Nothing has been changed in the media that NISA has shown for Sakura Wars:SLML. Gemini Sunrise is a cowgirl in the Japanese version; SLML takes place in 1920s New York. Where did you see in that blog post that things were being changed?
NISA doesn't make sweeping changes like that. You're worrying over nothing.

Perhaps I read it wrong, they aren't exactly detaled. They must've meant created from the ground up to supposedly appeal to westerners then(they should've said that, opposed to using the word "changed*).
Sigh, that's even worse then changing things, but I suppose after that one is released here, it might get them to release the older ones.
PS. Um, a gun wielding heroin, I don't know, I'm very iffy on that(besides guns are a coward's weapon, which makes the whole concept of such, a oxymoron). In NY of all places, tisk tisk.
Oh well, atleast it will be better then a Square game, but I really would like the Japanese to open their eyes(they come to the states every year like clockwork, yet they still think we want familiar settings in our RPG/tactic games).

Re: Sakura Wars
Red / Sega has done a nice job adapting the franchise to the US (and Paris for #3). Of course, the developers took some liberties where they wanted (e.g., Shakespeare).
Gemini is by far my favorite character in this one. Ratchet is also fun and Subaru is good for laughs.
Re: weapons, Gemini uses swords; Rika (the loli) uses dual pistols.
