Atelier Annie no where to be found?
it had a shipping date of october 27th which should mean gamestop has it by now but online it says no stores within 100 miles of me have it and yet in one of the gamestops in the mall near me they have the promotional box for it. is gamestop only getting the games if they are pre-ordered or ordered online or do i have to wait a bit longer for it to show up in the stores?

Hmm, that is a bit strange. You could always call them up and ask, but the website says it's already in stock. There are delays though, so it's not as unusual as you might think.
If you can, you should always preorder, that way you'll be informed if that's the case and you're guaranteed to get the game that way.
I always preorder my games now, it might be a bit inconvenient to have to go to the store and come back empty handed the first time, but in the long run, its worth it.

while i preordered my game (they don't have it in yet oddly), 1 issue is that, i'm getting really tired of EB games increasing the damn price AFTER it is preordered. That annoys me to no end. One thing i noticed as well is that the game always gets released 1 day later in canada unless it's a blockbuster game, that's when it matches the US release.
Also, i don't know about amazon.com but amazon.ca doesn't have any of the newest NISA games (annie, a witch's tale). Is there a particular reason for this?

about preorders?
ebgames in canada does NOT offer a preorder price guarantee. It's kinda why i'm buying more and more stuff from amazon.ca because they DO offer a price guarantee.
It just bugs me because even if i preorder and pay for the game upfront, when i pick it up, i've started to cancel my preorders when they tell me i owe them 5 or 10 bucks more. Disgaea 2 was the last game that i cancelled my preorder when i went there to pick it up.

That's pretty strange, as preordering is a promise to keep the original price they said. That's why you pay upfront a sum of cash. I've never encountered that problem before.
I wouldn't do the same, I would definitely argue for it, even if it caused an inconvenience. It's my money, I do what I want with it.
Honestly, that just sounds like they're being greedy. Don't ever let them do that. Gamestop/EB Games is not a friendly place in my opinion. I just buy the game I want and leave, I don't stay there for longer than I have to. Half the time some of these people barely know about games. You should not be in a field that you know nothing about. It's not opinion, it's fact. I'm not about to change it.

I guess gamestops are different everywhere. The ones around here are full of cheerful employees who will talk to you for hours about games lol. And the one I usually go to is willing to give us freebies if stuff wasn't moved with preorders, we ended up with some shirt for a game that nobody preordered lol.
Its a shame the wrong people apply to places like that though... its like my mom suggesting I work at Home Depot... I know absolutely nothing about anything they sell in there... I bet I don't even know enough about lightbulbs...why would I work there? Why would you work at a game store when you don't know about games?

oh, don't get me wrong, the employees at my ebgames r very polite and i talk to them alot but that preorder thing simply ANNOYS THE HELL out of me.
As a note, they STILL DO NOT have atelier annie.... ><
They r hoping it will come on monday or tuesday..

That's pretty much what I'm trying to say, you have to have certain credentials to be working at Gamestop, and those are that you would need at least basic(very basic at the least) gaming knowledge. I do not like it when I ask for a title and they're staring at you for like 5 minutes or ask for the darn name again.
If you can't get it right the first time, I should personally go back there and find it for you... and at times I feel like doing it.
