Fun with Naming Anyone name your characters a certain way? I got bored of making up random crap, so I decided to name my characters according to their job. Here are the conventions I've started so far.
Soldiers: Elements on the Periodic Table
Witches: Female Babylon 5 Characters
Slimes: Desserts
Fighters: Buildings on my College Campus
Valkyries: Norse Goddesses
Re: Fun with Naming I tend to name my charactors in a very simple way. I name them their class. And if I already have one, I name them after what they do. Like Heal!
I only named one charactor after an anime. My Samuari (who happens to be a Shogun) is named Motoko (Love Hina) :P

In the case of Story Names
Valkryie : Cinnamon
Fusionist : Macy
Mystic : Dash
(Simple, yes, but simple is good)
And in the case of friends/myself
Fighter : Chris
Knight : Mark
Witch : Sharon
I rarely name them after anime characters (Naming after Kimi ga? That thing depressed me enough just watching it, I don't wanna remind myself while playing NIS games XD), I only do when I'm completely shot for ideas. (i.e. my EDF soldier in Disgaea named "Canti" )
Re: Fun with Naming I have no system yet, but I have a good mind to rename the witch Sabrina!! I think I'll maybe go with the TV (film?) theme where appropriate.
Re: Fun with Naming I usually just name my characters names of other videogame characters loosely based on what they look like. Like my mermaid healer/magic user is called Zora (from Zelda). My fighter is Jecht(FFX), I had a Manticore named Puppers but that was just random hehehe...And my Titlist is Magus...
