To the best of my knowledge, there isn't actually anything new that isn't already known, you get Pringer XX, New Game+, the lvl100 grey Whisp guy behind the house that gives you all of your items and characters back in a new game+, and you can convert your old (Japanese) Phantom Brave save to this one with the convert feature on the main menu. Of course, I have yet to go beyond the tutorial level, so you never know XP (I've been busy Yoshi hunting XP)

No, you're right. That's all that's different. Doesn't stop me from enjoying the game all over again though. And this time with Japanese battle voices! Delicious Ash.
