Ability of the Serpent - Ecarlate
To make a long story short, I've recently been role-playing as Ash in a small RP group. However, while trying to research abit deeper into his character, I came across the NIS profile data for him on the Phantom Brave site.
It was here that I noticed his skill listed as "Ability of the Serpent - Ecarlate". At first, I was a little confused about this, considering his skill list in the game listed his only unique skills as "Rising Dragon" and "Solemn Vow". Then I played through the game to the point where he recited his little speech (The "I shall not fail" one)that I assumed was related to his Solemn Vow skill. However, while I wasn't able to make out much of it (My Japanese is still quite poor and I have trouble listening & understanding at normal speaking speed), I DID happen to make out the word "Ecarlate" out in it at the end of the statement.
All of this bringing me to this question... what is "Ability of the Serpent - Ecarlate"? Is it simply the 2x Int/Atk on final confinement turn skill? Or is there something that I missed somewhere? If anyone happens to have read further into this, I'd be most interested in knowing.

Solemn Vow is the translated name of Ecarlate.
Each time that he says his "vow" in the cutscenes, he's actually calling on Ecarlate, much like Marona, the Ravens and anyone else with a color-schemed power do.

SUIRYUU NO CHIKARA - ECCARLATE!
Water Dragon's Strength - Eccarlate is Ash's ability in Phantom Brave. His Element is Water, and the "snakish" sword you find in the training stage is actually the "Suiryuuken" ...haha, Water Dragon Sword.
Suiryuu no Chikara - Eccarlate was Ash's father's move. His father was a Chroma, apparently you "inherit" the ability. As Ash learned it while being bullied as a kid.
Another thing of mention is that he thought his dad was a SUPERHEROHOLYSHIZAH because he would protect people and be a hero to them, but his father corrects him and tells him that he's Chroma because he wishes to help people, but also because he needs to bring money for his family. You can't live off "thank yous" and survive.
I hope that helps, and its so great to see someone RPing as Ash!!
