Lvling?
You guys are always talking about having lvl 6000+ humanoid character, how in gods name are you getting that high? As I recall aside from item world(which would take crazy long) the only good lvling place is that map with the four vamps and the uber high exp there. I could see maybe buffing them with the stronger monsters bill, but will that really make much of a difference?

The best place to level (until you have a couple of Warp Drives, which I never bothered with; if you can get a Warp Drive, you've probably beaten everything already anyway) is Cave of Trials 3, with 9 galactic demon-type enemies in a 3x3 square. Use an attack that hits all 9 of them (Winged Slayer is preferred) to take them all down. If your character isn't strong enough, use Braveheart and have other characters help out. Then slowly up their levels to whatever you can defeat in a hit. With their levels raised as high as they can go, you can get a character to level 4000 without too much trouble. I ended up with a pair of level 4250 characters (Space Pirate and Divine Majin), plus a bunch of level 2500s (which I really shouldn't have wasted time on).

I was in your shoes until just a couple days ago actually. I've been replaying Disgaea in preperation for Disgaea 2, and I was at a loss for how to quickly level.
What I was doing wrong was trying to level up all of my characters at once using the Cave of Trials 3 stage. After 250 hours of play, it still seemed like my characters were stuck in the 300's.
Then I decided I'd try shoving every statistician and every gladiator I had into Laharl, and had him kill every enemy, every time. Well he went from level 320 to 1005 in about 1.5 hours. It would have gone alot faster than that but I was bringing out some minor characters everytime so they could get a popshot to level up their weapon skills. Then I switched my items to another character and did the same thing.
After maybe 5 hours, I now have 5 characters over level 1000 (this is with the set of 9 monsters being around level 340 or so, which I think is probably the 6th or 7th level of monster difficulty). Once I get maybe 10 or 15 characters past level 1000, I'm going to try getting more items and specialists, then bumping the monster level up a few more times and going for 2000. The main thing I want to do is unlock the secret characters at level 2000 and 2500, then I can be happy with switching over to Disgaea 2 then

My Savior can kill all those Galactic Demons in a single hit when they're practically at the Max Enemy Level...right after Transmigrating.

hahaha that's awesome..
just started using this level myself (after 100hrs of gameplay..) Laharl is now 1000+, and i just made the effort to finally unlock the majin class..
my housemate is annoyed with me, i'm catching up to his hours in pokemon ruby.. this is probably NOT a good thing

I find the way to level insanely fast is to unlock "Beauty of Evil" stage. Get strongest monsters as hifg as you can go. There will be three Divine Majins lv 9999 ea and two prophets lv 9040 ea.With a triple exp bill you can go from level one (transmigrated) to level 601 on one stage. Of course your atk must be REAL high. Mine is around 110k at lv one.
