Actually that's the purpose of the MST Network, located in the Fan Fiction section.
I was going to close this thread, but we could talk about something else here.
What is it about fanfic that makes you want to MST it? For me, it's only a certain subset that I feel the need to poke fun at. Ones that are at least a little bit badly written, where the author seems not to care about the fandom itself, taking canon characters and throwing them drastically out of character to fulfill his or her personal fantasies. Some personal fantasies should probably never be aired in public. It also has to be a story that's fun to MST. If you're not having a good time, what's the point? MSTing, in my opinion, should never be a personal vendetta against the author.
What makes you guys want to MST a story or see someone else do it?

That's my ultimate goal, for sure buddy. I also feel like if someone is mocking Tolkien (or your favourite author), they deserve to be mocked in turn. But not in a mean way, there's no point in that.

If AW MSTd me, I'd be honoured! If some random person did an unfunny MST of my story, I'd be annoyed. I'm sure there's enough in my writing to generate hilarity.

I'm MSTing a chapter of a very silly story at the moment for the PPC board. It is a published work that one of the boarders was forced to read for an American Lit class. It's painfully 'Sueish, poorly written, and insulting to women. I don't do MSTing much, but this...this is revenge. It's simply awful.
e.g. (my description)
The stories that imitated the Brontës, with none of their wit. The stories that portrayed females as useless...pathetic...socialites... The myth of the angelic, perfect, little Mary-Sue-girls as real.
-and-
"nay, I am sure it was not right; for I expected to be very happy, but was sadly disappointed."
Tath: The poor dear! She was not being entertained every moment of her existence! We weep!
-and-
should she hear of it by accident, throw the blame on me:
Tath: "As I doubt not you would do in any case."
but I confess I deserve it:
Anja: "For refusing to bow immediately to Your Sparkling Wonderfulness."
it will be a very kind return for
Glass: "Insufficient postage."
that partiality which led me to prefer you before any of the rest of the ladies;
Tath: "As my bestest, most kewl freind in the Whole Wide World!1!!one!" ...I cannot believe I just said that.
but perhaps it will give you pleasure," continued she,
Anja: "You are a sadistic little monster, I've noticed."
letting fall some hypocritical tears,
Glass: Crocodiles swarming around her feet.
"to see me deprived of bread,
Anja: "Cast out into the cold, stripped to rags, sent to the workhouse, with wolves" (snickering) "dogging my footsteps."
Glass: (groaning) Horrible pun, lycanthrope.
and for an action which by the most rigid could only be esteemed an inadvertency,
Tath: "After all, it was your own dear self who was sick on the hostess..."
lose my place and character,
Tath: "As you have already lost yours."
and be driven again into the world,
Anja: I was right!
where I have already suffered all the evils attendant on poverty. "
Glass: The attendant evils? Ooh! I know! There are sloth, gluttony, pride, lust, wrath, greed, and...and jealousy.
This was touching Charlotte in the most vulnerable part:
Tath: Her gag reflex.
she rose from her seat,
Anja: Awkwardly, in a tangle of rumpled skirts.
and taking Mademoiselle's hand--
Glass: "Ha ha. Got your hand! Let's play keep-away!"
"You know, my dear La Rue," said she, "I love you too well, to do anything that would injure you in my governess's opinion:
Tath: (twitches) Why was there a comma there? There oughtn't have been a comma there!
Anja: (pats the Elf kindly) "I much prefer to injure you physically. How about a black eye?"
I am only sorry we went out this evening."
