MST Relay - MSTing for the entire board!
I thought of a great way to have a board MST. Having more than, say, 4 people do an MST at the same time would be completely mad! But I want everyone to feel welcome in our new and long-term project: the Board MST. I imagine this project will take quite a while, but I wanted to get the idea out there so I didn't forget what it was.
The MST Relay
First and foremost, I want you guys to have fun at this. However, if our MST is to make any sense, we have to have a few guidelines.
- The Relay Team: two people will work together to MST a chunk of the fic. Once you're finished, post your bit here.
Nov. 20 edit: Actually, we decided to just take turns. So if you want to MST, step right up!
- Make sure your post is contigious with the previous MSTers post.
- Only MST a short bit at a time (about half a page in a word processor), and then pass the 'baton'.
The Fic
Let's pick an LOTR fic, because it's a fandom we all have in common.
It doesn't matter how long the fic is, but I suggest not picking an 'After the Battle'esque monstrosity.
The fic must make at least some sense, so we have something to poke fun at. Excessive amounts of all-caps or bad formatting will cause MSTers to go insane, and should be avoided.
The selected fic should have a lot of dialogue and action. The better to mock you my dear.
Finally, the fic does not have to be from ff.net, you can find badfic everywhere on the net! (It is okay to suggest an ff.net one though.)
So basically, two (or three if you want) people will MST in teams. They will do a bit, then pass the fic on to the next team. This will go on until the fic is completely MSTd, then we can start a new fic if we want. New teams can join any time.
Any questions? Post here, along with your fic suggestions.

Gundam, it isn't that hard to find badfic. Just search Legolas and Romance and you'll find a MSTable one in no time!

I realize it's not hard, it's just that it's more effort than I am willing to extend...plus, I really shouldn't even be posting here right now, I have a quiz tomorrow that I ought to be studying for. >_<

Re: MST Relay - MSTing for the entire board!
Welcome to the board Cazrolime! (I think I've seen that story somewhere before... )
It certainly looks MSTable though.
Fun was had with the first paragraph...
Nurvingiel: Hey Monie, check this out.
Spomonie: I told you already I don't have time to join another message board.
N: I know, just do this MST with me. Just the first paragraph...
S: (grins) Just one paragraph? Okay then...
The little girl shivered in fear while she looked around.
N (little girl, scared): Hey, that sign says 'Now entering Rath Dínen, please no talking'... oh.
She didn’t understand what was going on. Her father had insisted she come here, "Léofcild,"
S: I read "Lay off child" there.
N: At least it's not mangleded Elvish!
her father spoke urging the small girl on. Her large round dark brown eyes stared up at him, too many
S: Adjectives
questions to be answered, dark auburn red hair trailed down to her shoulders and was not the straightest hair, it was frazzled from
N: The obligatory Sue hair description.
S: She's a bit young for a Sue.
N: They're recruiting them younger and younger...
the ride to even get here, "Come my dear child, do not tarry, we do not have much time," he told her taking up her small and delicate hand
S: To the museum
into his large rough one.
