Aw, sweet! That is my all-time favourite VG-Cats! even though I mistook it for another comic, but never mind that.

Re: The Prancing Pony
Yay we had a chat. Now that I'm reconnected to the internet, I'm sure there will be more chats. EB and Seraph and everyone, feel free to add me: trillian2111@hotmail.com
So EB, how did your telescope buying adventures go? I recently bought a pair of pretty good (especially for $45) binoculars, and my dad explained lense characteristics.
There is the quality of the lense itself, obviously the higher quality will be better and clearer, but more expensive.
There is the width of the large lense (is that aperature?). The wider this is, the more light is allowed into the binoculars, and the better you can see. The higher the magnification, the greater width you need.
Magnification is how many times closer the binoculars or telescope brings the image.
For example, my dad has a 22 power telescope, which allowed us to view four of Jupiter's moons last week. My binoculars are 8x power, allowing us to see the actors' faces from the back row (nosebleed section ) of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
The higher the power is, the narrower your field of vision is. For example, a 22x power telescope would allow you to clearly see the actor's left nostril. The 8x power lets you see the whole person. For binoculars, you generally don't need more than 8x power.
And that's what I learned.

I've finished building HVEL Mark II. But I just can't bring myself to closing all the forums on the old one.

Re: The Prancing Pony
if it's because of all the other posts, some places have ways to import the posts to the new forums.
Check, maybe your forums has that option.
The only places I've heard of though are ones you pay for.

Re: The Prancing Pony
Well, you can always save the individual threads, or post them up manually.
Saving them would be a good idea anyways.
