Cool Katt, I love fish! But I meant Chinook as in the trade language, not the (delicious) salmon.
Though it is technically a dead language, I believe some people still learn if for cultural or academic reasons. Or because it rocks.
I like words that originate in other languages, like Zoccalo! (Who else is a Babylon 5 geek here. )
Meeeeep, I realized that after I posted.

Milk is a great word. I didn't pronounce it properly for a while though. I used to say "malk" instead if "milk".
That's awesome! I was immediately reminded of The Simpsons, from when they had "malk" in Bart & Lisa's public school. Rat's milk!! So funny! Here. check this out:
Malk
The cost-effective milk substitute served to the children of Springfield Elementary (with plenty of "Vitamin R"), perhaps revealed to be rat's milk. "Vitamin R" might also be a reference to Ritalin, a medicament against ADHD.
Bart: But I always drink plenty of… [examines carton] malk?

Malk, lol

Kilometer is another great word, and I now pronounce it properly too. The emphasis is on the "lo", not the "ki".
Words like this remind me of math class.
But, now I can pronounce it properly too. It's sometimes hard to go aginst instincts...
Favourite words, hmmm...
"The shadow-folk that murmur in the fern" is an awesome line. Murmur, murmurous... aww.

Re: Favourite Words
Murmur is one of those words that really sounds like what it means.
I like "mellifluous." Pretty word, and highbrow, too. Covers both criterion for a cool word; pretty-sounding and makes one sound well-eddicated and - wordy-cool. Hee hee!

Re: Favourite Words
A word that's fun to say is "megalomaniacal," just roller-coasters off the tongue. It's great fun to say, try it- try it right now! It's like a sexy tango dance for your tongue.
Hey, Nurvi, I saw how horrible and nasty that disgusting, foul old man Inked was toyou, just want you to know I saw it; I know how wicked and cruelly homophobic that douchebag can be. I can't really speak my mind or defend anyone against him, though; one of the times I did exactly that I ended up getting edited, and temp banned, and yet they let his horrible baiting and flaming stay completely untouched, and he gets away with all manner of astounding asininity. Just wanted to let you know, you've got witnesses!
