Now that's one dedicated gamer. Wow. o_O

In wonderful worldly news, I recently acquired the hardback Complete Hitchhiker's Guide which contains all five novels plus the short story "Young Zaphod Plays it Safe" in one lusterous volume of sweet, sweet Hitchhiker-y goodness.

And the best part about all this?

I only paid $13.50 for it. emoticon

WAY too much time on his hands.

That. Is. Awesome.

And Gundam, I love your cookie story. Were the cookies delicious? See, if it had been 3:31 as you wrote that, and you had baked 31 cookies, not only would you have less cookies, but you also wouldn't have marked the event.

Because 42 is special, so we look for it, and in looking, we find it. emoticon

The cookies were quite delicious. They got better as the week progressed. emoticon

They... um... did? I didn't know it worked like that with cookies.

It definitely doesn't work that way with sandwiches. I learned that the hard way.

I have not had any serendipitous encounters with the number "42" recently.

I didn't realize it worked that way with cookies either...I sort of burned them, and they were a little crispier than I like my oatmeal-raisin cookies, but as they got older, they got better. *shrugs* Maybe it was a one-off thing, who knows?

Right now I'm making lentel soup. *salivates* So hungry...

You guys are going to love this one...

Last night, I decided to make an hourly countdown to the end of my exams. When I finished, there were 444 hours to the end. I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to start at 442. Oh well." And then started editing a story I'm writing.
I really like this story, and the creativity was flowing. I totally lost track of time, and when I looked at the time again it was 3am. So I crossed off the first three hours on my countdown. 444... 443... 442, and went to bed.

Good story. emoticon

And my PPC agents live in response center #444...'s a good number, that one. Not quite as good as 42, but it's got its good points. emoticon

So I was tweaking the board layout (more) and another runboard user pointed out what field the board link is in the Customized Language Set.

Anyway never mind all that technobabble. The point is, with this knowledge, I can replace the link with a graphic.

I'm making the graphic right now, and I started with an image 400 pixels wide, and 55 high. This was too tall for the text so I dragged the top down until it looked right...

And guess how tall it is? 42 pixels.

I did not do that on purpose! emoticon

I will now make it 420 pixels wide, just because. emoticon

Guess where I am in Baldur's Gate II? emoticon

That's right, day 42.

Of course, I keep dying...

Maybe this is telling me that the meaning of life is death. emoticon

Re: 42

After I remarked the passing of the 42nd day in Baldur's Gate II, I started geekily recording all the occurances of the number 42 that I noticed.

So far...

You get 420 experience points for killing Myconids, Brown Bears, Shadows, Hobgoblin Captains, and Magma Memphits.

Also I've noticed six occasions when one of the characters did 42 damage to an opponent. emoticon

I think I've succesfully raised the level of geekiness in the room. emoticon

I think Seraph will appreciate this post eh what buddy? emoticon
