Re: the OW thread

Well, two weeks ago, I did the cartoon step-on-a-rake-and-get-a-black-eye bit on accident. Funny, infuriating, but funny.

My friend once tossed a knife in the air, and tried to catch it by it's handle, the obvious happened. It was surprising funny to see the blade enter his hand, and come out the other end. We kinda stared at it for a few seconds, then I asked if it hurt, and he said he couldnt' tell yet. He needed surprisingly few stitches for it (Small blade, missed everything major).

On my way to my grandma's, a dear jumped out in front of us, but we missed it. Instead, it jumped off the side of the road... and fell about 12 feet onto sharp rocks. Stupid suicidal deer... jumping off a bridge. Don't even know how it got there (IN A CITY!!), and why it came out of no-where when there was no cover to hide.

Also, we're assuming it's dead, cause we didn't find the body, tehre was no cover to run to for miles, and there wasn't any way to get under the bridge. Fricken phantom deer thingy.

Well, at least the part damaged wasn't the part that couldnt' recognize if another part had damage or not.

Yeah, once you know you have a problem, you have the chance to do something about it!

*looks shifty*

This is a good place to complain about shin splints.

[whining] This summer I trained in karate on a cement floor, and I've had shin splints ever since! Okay, part of the problem is I don't do that much to heal them... heh... maybe I will now. But I also haven't been doing anything I thought would aggravate them, but walking and riding my bicycle seems to make them act up. Grr.[/whining]

emoticon ugh, I had shin splints during basic training for the USCG, errrr United States Coast Guard….Seems to me I recovered quick, but I was wearing well supported high top boots (mid shin)….also, I was done running miles and miles in the very same boots for training (like you run a lot on small rescue boats)…the relinquished aggravation seemed to relieve the pain promptly….so obviously my diagnosis and recommendation for you Nurv is…… emoticon don’t run on boats….you’ll feel better immediately……(remember, I have a head injury…emoticon glares at Seph)

This is as good a place to whine as any. I still have shin splints. emoticon Though it's only in my right leg. And I think it's going away, some days like today, my leg doesn't hurt at all. Do these things get better by themselves?
Also, studies show that staying up all night makes your back sore. This study conducted by me, several times, this term. emoticon
