I made a copy of my sisters myspace (Her "Homepage"), and saved it to her hard-drive (As well as setting it as her new homepage). Then used a javascript to make a pop-up appear that said something along the lines of "You're too fat, your gravity is warping the internetsasdf. JKfj kjhjnj kd.. ;md;..."
She thought it was a virus.
Thus began my family's Internet War, as well as the Second Internet war, which was ended by me assuming control of her myspace (teh real one), her AIM, her Windows profile, and her internet usage account.
My mom made me give it all back... -_-
Oh, an actual Practical Joke?
I'm partial ot the underwear in the frozen block of ice gag...
If your roomie keeps a thing of water in the fridge, put a photo of you kissing in it, and freeze it!

It was the former. 
My roommate worked on her project and checked her email etc. for about three hours without looking at her desktop.
When she finally minimized her windows, she thought we had put the background up when she was actually on the computer, so I told her I used the network (we don't actually have a network set up) to hack her computer.
But then I told her what I really did, and we laughed and laughed. She had the best reaction ever. She was surprised ("Aaaaugh, what is this!?") but totally cool about it. She said it was a good prank, and now she's going to get me back.
I'm excited to see what she's going to do to me.  I have the best roomie ever.
Also, she said "That would have been a good April Fool's prank. Oh no, I shouldn't give you ideas, April Fool's is coming up!"
Why yes Roomie, it is. For April Fool's I'm going to pay homage to this prank by saving her current background to my computer, then photoshopping Boyfriend and my heads kissing all over it, then making that her wallpaper. Mwehehe...
I'll keep you posted when she pranks me.

She actually did get me back, but I forget what she did because that was ages ago.
Heh.
These was this time when I hid a carton of milk with vinigar in it (to make it go off faster) behind someone's fridge. I know it went sour and gross, but I never completely figured out if the prankee even noticed it. I guess his room was pretty gross. He must have found it eventually, at least when he moved.
