Chinquapin Phase II
Dear Oakwood residents, the Chinquapin Condominiums were approved with revisions at the June 23, 2005 Metro Planning Commission meeting. The access point will be off Treetop Drive, but will be angled to prevent direct headlight projection into any one house, or avoid as much of that as possible. The other revisions also include exterior upgrade to 50% stone (preferrably brick), 1300 sq/ft per unit and a 20' buffer (trees and shrubbery) around the entire project. After several conversations with Metro Planning Staff, Councilman Tommy Bradley and Joe McDonald the engineer, this was the best possible outcome for our neighboorhood. The units are expected to sell for approximately $120,000 - $150,000 per unit which should fit in with our area. This development is also required by law to have a HOA of its' own. We also thought this was a benefit and would institute regulations compariable to those of Oakwood.
