Need Imput!!
Looking for information about Sam Kabakoff. Sometime around June 20, 1909 he was murdered in Cleveland. His brothers found him strangled to death when they returned home from work. He was 17 years old, a recent immigrant from Russia. I am going to the Library to see what I can find. Will Check the Bolivar Commercial, don't imagine I can get any help from the police dept. but will try. Does anyone have any information on him or can tell me where I might find some?

Re: Need Imput!!
I don't have any information on Sam, but in 1910, in the city of Cleveland, there was a Jacob Kabakoff living there whose occupation was a tailor. He was single. In 1920, the same Jacob, I assume since his occupation was "gents furnisher", was living in Coahoma County in Clarksdale. Clarksdale is only 35 miles from Cleveland. Here's the info from 1920:
Jacob M Kabakoff 31
Sarah Kabakoff 27
Charlott Kabakoff 8
Laurance Kabakoff 6
I noticed on both the 1910 and 1920 census records that there were several of the surname living in Memphis, TN and Memphis is about 100 miles north Cleveland.
Since his religion was listed as Jewish, you might consider contacting someone with the synagogue in Cleveland or Clarksdale. Maybe they have records.
