Re: Why we're here.
Runboard.com- I am your new member, so i'm hoping i'm posting to the right site. My surnames in Bolivar Co. are the REDDS/Reds, Samuels,Rileys, and Nichols of Alligator, MS. the dad there was A Dr.Nichols. All the Nichols are gone from the town. This doctor was my mother's doctor in 1948 when i was born, he did not deliver me because my mother needed a c-section so she was taken to Shelby where i was born. The other surnames names lived in Bolivar countyand other counties in the state. The REDDS/Reds first lived in Jefferson Co. then moved to Pantherburn, then to Bolivar Co. and lastly to Coahoma Co.The Samuels came from Ala. or Ga. and they moved to Bolivar Co. then Coahoma Co. Then the Rileys came from Baton Rouge and the East Feliciana area to include Clinton, La. then they came into Mississippi and settled in different Ms. Counties they are in Washington Co. Sharkey Co., Bolivar Co. and Coahoma Co. All these surnames that are living or deceased all live in towns or rural areas very near 61 hwy. north and south. And now thanks for all you all do even though i found you all at such a late date. I now live in central Ms. we are a retired military family who have came back out of retirement. Our hometown is Clarksdale,Ms. Have a great week. and again thanks. msrose601@comcast.net
