And God Said What?
And God Said What? by Margaret Nutting Ralph
I was talking to my associate pastor and asking her some questions about things. She answered them and then gave me this book to read as back up. She is a woman who loves references, and that is one of the many reasons why I love her.
Anyway, so far it has been interesting. The point of the book seems to be to first study the Bible as a historical text, which means looking at the author's knowledge, bias, culture, etc, so that we can use the Bible as a prayer and answer guide more effectively. I am only through the first two chapters, but I really like it so far.
I would say it would be a good book for anyone who is interested in learning more about the Bible, whether you actually believe the stories it contains or not. The book is written in simple terms and is set up to help you understand and retain the information.
I'm pretty excited about it, but don't worry, it won't be in the book club. lol

Re: And God Said What?
This sounds interesting! I admittedly don't know anything about the Bible, and it would be interesting to know more of the history.
