Queen Bee of Mimosa Branch

I picked up a book for the book club, I think: Queen Bee of Mimosa Branch by Haywood Smith.

I have only read a couple pages and I am already laughing. I think everyone will like it. At least I hope so. emoticon

YAY! Lol I think you read my mind. I was going to start a thread for the books we've picked for this round, although now that I think about it, I'll start a different thread for my book. That was as people read them, we can have discussions going about each book emoticon

I'm thought it would be fun to do it this way and actually this is what I thought you had in mind, Ro.

So I stayed up and finished the book last night. It was great. She kept her witty comments going the whole time, but you could really see a lot of character growth.

I guess that is what I really enjoy about this story. It was totally character driven. Yes, there were things going on around her, but the story was about her learning and moving on. There was some romance, but nothing too racy for everyone to read I think. I can't wait to talk to you all about this!

This book sounds really good and i saw i can get it at the American BookCentre in Amterdam, so next Friday i will pick up a copy.

I know i ought to be reading an ebook, but i am enthralled in The Other Boleyn Girl - i know the movie is out, but i cannot watch it before i read the book!

Take your time, picking a book. The Other Boelyn Girl is a GREAT movie...I'd like to read the book as well, but I already have a list of other things that I need to read. Oh well, eventually emoticon

The Other Boleyn Girl is a fantastic book, i have not seen the film yet, but i intend to go when i am better. Read the book - i could not put it away and actually missed my trainstop, so i had to wait at a cold and draughty station for the train back - it will really enthrance you!

Friday i will go to the shop and buy the mimosa bee book, i expect it to be just as good!
