What did you think of Saturday's display? Did we make hard work of the win? What could we have done better? What should we change, if anything, for the next game?

Constructive comments only. No derogatory remarks about individual players....but feel free to criticise the manager!

Firstly we must be happy that we kept yet another clean sheet. Doesn't matter who you are playing against, if you stop the opposition from scoring then it's a great basis to build upon.

Also scoring seven goals is another bonus as hitting the back of the net can only give players confidence.

So what could we have done better? None of the following points are major problems but against the so-called weaker teams we need to get these right as we will come unstuck when playing better sides.

- More patience. When an early goal doesn't materialise keep playing football, retain possession and don't start panicking and playing the long ball....especially straight down the opposition keeper's throat!

- Composure in front of goal. It's said that putting the ball in the net is the hardest job in football so don't drop heads, or have on-the-pitch tantrums when chances go begging. Put the next one away. And remember....keep the shots on target, there's more chance of scoring....and there's no need to break the back of the net!

- Keep the team shape. When things aren't going to plan some players have a tendency to drift. It's not about keeping a totally rigid formation but ensuring the team shape and balance remains so we don't get caught out.

- Use the width. A lot of teams this season will defend in numbers against us. When this happens the best way to break them down is to use the width of the pitch, get the ball behind them and some quality crosses in. We tend to do this well on the left but need to do it down both flanks.

- Defend as a team. When we lose possession we should ensure we get numbers back behind the ball more quickly and work as a unit to defend.

What do others think?
