Parkfield 1 - 12 Polegate Town
A resounding and comfortable victory, Polegate's biggest score so far this season....and yet not a particularly inspiring performance.
Some good goals and composed finishes, combined with a number of glaring misses and too many long balls (in the first half) made for a strange game.
The two halves tell the story. Leading 4-1 at the interval, manager Blackie took the players to task at half-time, rightly telling them that they we're playing like a lower league team and too many players were trying to play up front. The players obviously took on board those comments with a much better second half performance with another 8 goals, many of which were well worked, passing moves.
So what did you think of the game?

Re: Parkfield 1 - 12 Polegate Town
Another good win, shame about conceeding, but then it was a penalty and not open play, which is good.
The attacking play was especially good in the second half with good wing play down both left and right wings.
The pitch wasn't the greatest to play on, and the windy conditions didn't help, so in face of that it was a good result. Although, its hard to get excited about scoring 12 when the opposition are so poor.
Still, a few tough games coming up in the Cup, especially the Heathfield game and the league game vs Eastbourne Gunners at the end of the month will also be a good game.
