posticon PAW'S PLACE TOO

Other got to filling up... starting anew..fresh....

Did not want you all to miss this:

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) Press 1 for English is immediately banned. English is the official language. Speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two-year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports. We will use the 'Wal-Mart' policy: 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.

(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (Six month tour.) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND alien s.

(5) Social Security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin' in, you ain't getting' nuttin' out. Neither the president nor any other politician will be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare -Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.

(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you will be banned for life.

(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method: The first time you steal, you lose your dominant hand. There will be no more life sentences -- if you are convicted of a Capitol Offense, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim, gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9) One export will be allowed - Wheat -- The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress -- right after a prayer to God.

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes, but a vote for me will get you better than what you have and better than what you're gonna' get.

Thanks for listening, and remember to write in my name on the ballot in November

Good day all... starting out well.... with cool breeze though muggy...gonna be a scorcher.

Ah but God is good and all is well....I trust your day will be grand... give it all ya got...

Be blessed....and enjoy!!!!!

Let's read a but... this is good for us ALL to remember at Coffee Break time at Paw's:

"Don't Repeat It"

".... and he that soweth discord among brethren." Proverbs 6:19b

Have you ever had a conversation with someone- perhaps a family member, a friend or a fellow employee- and the conversation contained some "negative" ideas or opinions about someone else? For example, this happened just recently to someone I know. They received a call from a family member and during the course of the conversation this family member made some not so "edifying" remarks about their sister's son. They stated how they felt about him and it was not very "positive". The tendency is to want to tell someone else about the conversation-- especially the sister.

I saw this situation as a perfect example of what the Lord meant in our verse above. If this person had not had wisdom in knowing to keep their mouth shut, instead of telling the sister, it would have caused seeds of discord to be sown in the family. The sister would have gotten angry at the family member who had made the remarks, and would have probably told her son, who then in turn would have had bad feelings toward this person also.

Am I saying what the family member did was right in talking about this son? No, if they had a problem with him they should have gone to him and told him themself and seen if they could have gotten their differences, or misunderstandings, resolved. But they didn't choose to go that route, they chose to talk about them to someone else instead. Talking about them only opened up the door to the enemy to cause discord and hard feelings. But if it had been repeated by the one it was said to, it would have only added "fuel to the fire".

We have to learn when to speak and when to keep our mouths shut. We don't want to be guilty of causing discord, trouble, hurt feeling or division between anyone. If you'll go back and read the couple of verses prior to this morning's verse, you'll see that this is listed among the things that God hates. Therefore, if He hates it, we should too and we should do everything in our power not to be guilty of it.

Have a great day. Are you sowing seeds of discord by repeating things that are better left unsaid?
