LIFE as it is lived daily

Larry's (my husband) defibrillator implant went well today...he will be released late tomorrow sometime. Very rough lead up to the time of the test for me, but one that has saved his life yet again! (the rough part was for me btw sometimes too much knowledge is not so good when you really love someone) He has 9 lives like the cats I swear! the doctor returned to talk to me in half the time it was supposed to take for the test.......

When the doctor explained what was next for the implant after Larry had failed miserably the *EP test (*that test checks for V-tack sensitivity or a rapid uncontrolled heart rate that leads to death)...he asked me if I had any questions. I said, "yes, how do you know if it works once in place?" Dr. Fu responded "...that was a very good question, we arrest the heart of course". Needless to say I must have flinched and my eyes bugged out...because he followed very quickly that it would only last 4 seconds and they would have it going again! So for after care of the incision site he gave me the details, and I asked when he could drive again...lol....well Dr. Fu's eyes bugged out and HE flinched and said, "HE ISN'T DRIVING IS HE????" I said only when I wasn't around! ...and for you who know about the Fathers Day trip and him storming out of here to Celina and leaving me behind...driving his own stick shift Jeep with the broken air conditioning and trust me it was a hot day...teehhheeeheee.... then finding out later in the day that I was seen at an Urgent Care here for my hand! (the newly diagnosed oh fricken Steven Johnson something) and I had been put on steroids, antibiotics and pain pills! Marriage ain't it grand?

I am in hopes of many more years of challenges from and with Larry...and today insured just such a future, ... I think.

One small comment is this...Larry in our 43 years of marriage has had 1 massive heart attack and that is really one funny story how it was finally discovered by me! seriously! He has had multiple embroil (blood clots to the lungs passing through he heart) turned septic spent a WEEK in ICU, has a blood disease called MGUS and was on radiation for 2 years, triple by-pass (he saw flying ducks in his room) another story....they had a hard time getting him off life support but he came back!Oh wait cancer of the ear, he looked for weeks like a rebal soldier with the dressing draped around his head (another story) he IS a diabetic, he DOES have COPD (congestive obstructive pulmonary disease) neuropathy ...and flat feet! lol 43 years people and it has been a RIDE I want to tell you...one I would never have wanted to have missed

Love and Peace,
Jill

For you that care...here was my time to share, for those that don't ...please keep/or put me on ignore or more importantly just let me alone...honestly my plate is full and I don't need any more thank you very much!
