… no, it only brings the level of violence down to rates found in countries with common sense gun control laws. idiot, much? besides, who want dragons to have gun laws?
Well let's look at why the gun control laws didn't prevent this attack. Oh... because she didn't use a gun. Had she shot the girl 27 times with a gun, the girl would most likely have not survived. Since there wasn't a gun readily available, the assailant used a steak knife that hospitalized the girl but did not kill her.
If you are looking to say that the gun laws aren't working, there's no evidence of that. There is plenty of evidence as you pointed out that violence can without guns. One could make a case that the lack of a gun was due to the gun laws and the girl is alive today because of the gun law. That's a stretch but far easier to corelate to this story than the gun laws didn't prevent the violence.
p.s. gun laws don't attempt to prevent non-gun related violence, just gun related ones.
CLAIREMONT, Calif. -- Doctors who examined a 17-year-old girl allegedly attacked by her 16-year-old boyfriend in Clairemont determined that the victim suffered 27 stab wounds to her back, a San Diego police sergeant said Sunday.
The girl was driven by her mother to a fire station at Clairemont Drive and Cole Street shortly after 4 p.m., Sgt. Bob Dare said.
She was assaulted in front of her apartment complex at 4851 Cole St., where officers found a broken steak knife and blood trail, Dare said.
The girl was hospitalized and is expected to survive.
