KEIGHLEY Family Bible
The following email was recently received by the Pontefract FHS.
Please contact the sender of the email directly if you have an interest in the following item.
"I recently purchased a family bible for £10 in a old bookshop. The main surname inside is KEIGHLEY and via Ancestry.com/census, I have traced the owner's of the bible to the Pontefract area. The bible's first entry is in 1857. There are 2 marriages and 6 births written in the bible in total, up to 1881.
The reason for my email is to ask if you would kindly mention this at your next meeting or publish my plea in your news letter. I would love to reunite the bible with it's 'family'. All I ask is that they pay me the price of purchasing it. I have never been lucky enough to find something like this whilst searching for my relatives and couldn't leave it in the bookshop knowing it could be priceless to someone!!
If you would like anymore information, please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Kim Barratt"
