 Lee family of Ackworth
Looking for information and descendents of the Lee family of Ackworth. Husband is descended from Joshua Lee b abt 1802 m Sarah Woodhead in Wragby 1832.

Hi
One of my ancstors Amelia Clarke married George Lee in early 1800s. They are shown in 1861 and 1871 census's. George Lee was a soldier. They had a number of children including William, Walter & Susan as well as a connection with the Lovell family. If this is the family you are looking for I would be interested in any detail you have of George Lee including his regiment (he was a Chelsea pensioner later)

Sorry I don't have any more info about this family. As I said if you look up the census records mentioned in my last message you will find all that I know about them. Do you live local to Ackworth? Do you know anything of the Clarke family of that village?
